Report a Littered Site
Three methods to report dirty sidewalks, illegal dumping, or overflowing trash
Submitting reports can feel tedious, but they’re important! The more vocal we are, the more change that happens. Let’s hold landlords and business owners accountable to keep our neighborhood sanitary and safe for everyone.
-
1. Contact 311
Why? Reporting trash problems to 311 accumulates data that will help secure sanitation funding for our neighborhood. 311 will then contact DSNY to address the problem.
How? Call or text the number 311 or submit a report online
-
2. Contact DSNY
Why? DSNY will inspect the reported location during the enforcement routing time for the address. If the condition exists at the time of inspection, DSNY will issue a summons to the property owner so they will clean it up.
How? Submit the online “Report a Sidewalk Slob” form with photo evidence
-
3. Contact Us Directly
Why? If DSNY isn’t taking care of the issue quickly enough, Clean Bushwick Initiative will forward this information directly to Jennifer Gutiérrez’s Trash Force and they will work to take care of the problem promptly.
